The Academy Stars Catcher Development Program is open to the public with a max capacity of 10 participants per session. This program will focus on turning those with a passion for catching into quality, reliable backstops. The Academy Catcher Development Program will focus on all there is to know about catching; from prep-pitch set up to receiving, blocking, throw-downs and more.
This program is led by Academy Stars Baseball head coach and instructor, Connor Priester. Coach Priester played four years collegiately at Medaille College, gaining two years of experience behind the plate and being named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Second Team as a Utility player. Currently, he is an assistant coach at Hilbert College where he is primarily responsible for the defensive development of the catchers and infielders.
